Earlier picks
Numbers come from your browser's secure random generator, so every combination is equally likely. Nothing here can make a line more likely to win. Your earlier picks are kept in this browser only.
Press the button and this EuroMillions number generator does a Lucky Dip for you: five main numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars from 1 to 12. You can make up to 20 lines at once, copy them to your phone, or print them to take to the shop. It’s free and there’s no sign-up.
The Lucky Stars show in green so you don’t mix them up with the main numbers when you fill in the slip.
EuroMillions number generator: how a line works
To win the jackpot you need all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars. That’s 2,118,760 possible sets of main numbers multiplied by 66 possible pairs of stars, which comes to 1 in 139,838,160 per line. It’s one of the longest jackpot odds of any lottery in Europe, which is why the top prize can roll over to such big amounts.
The smaller prizes are much kinder. Matching just two main numbers wins something, and so do two main numbers plus a star. Most of the winning lines on any given draw are in those lower tiers.
Why use a random line at all
Your numbers have exactly the same chance as anyone else’s. But the way people choose numbers isn’t random. Birthdays cluster under 31, lucky sevens get picked a lot, and so do neat patterns down the middle of the slip. When a line like that wins, the prize is often shared with dozens of other people.
A random line spreads across the whole range from 1 to 50. If you want to push that further, tick “Avoid lines that look like birthdays” under Your own rules, and lines where every number is 31 or under get skipped. You can also fix a number you always play and let the rest be random.
The numbers come from your browser’s built-in secure random generator, the same kind used for encryption. Every combination is exactly as likely as every other, so a generated line is no better or worse than one you choose yourself. What it does do is stop you picking the same birthdays as thousands of other players.
Playing more than one game? The lottery number generator covers eleven lotteries on one page, and the lottery odds calculator works out the chance of every prize tier.
