Irish Lotto Number Generator

This Irish Lotto number generator gives you six numbers from 1 to 45 per line, the format the game moved to in September 2026 when balls 46 and 47 were taken out. Choose up to 20 lines, keep a lucky number on each if you want, and copy or print them. Free, quick and nothing to download.

Irish Lotto number generator: the new odds

With 45 balls there are 8,145,060 possible lines, so that’s your chance of matching all six. Before the change it was 1 in 10,737,573. Taking out two balls made each line about a third more likely to hit the jackpot, and every smaller prize got a little easier too.

That puts Irish Lotto among the best jackpot odds of any national lottery covered here. Only Thunderball, with its fixed top prize, is slightly shorter.

Lines that don’t look like everyone else’s

With fewer balls, more of the board is in birthday range: 31 of the 45 numbers. That makes an all-low line even more common among players who choose their own numbers, and more likely to be shared if it comes up. Ticking “Avoid lines that look like birthdays” skips those lines without changing your odds.

If you play the same numbers every week, put them in “Always include” and use the generator to fill the rest, or to make a second line that doesn’t overlap with your usual one.

The numbers come from your browser’s built-in secure random generator, the same kind used for encryption. Every combination is exactly as likely as every other, so a generated line is no better or worse than one you choose yourself. What it does do is stop you picking the same birthdays as thousands of other players.

Playing more than one game? The lottery number generator covers eleven lotteries on one page, and the lottery odds calculator works out the chance of every prize tier.

Better odds than before is still very long odds. Keep it fun. BeGambleAware.org is free and confidential if it stops being fun.
