Earlier picks
Numbers come from your browser's secure random generator, so every combination is equally likely. Nothing here can make a line more likely to win. Your earlier picks are kept in this browser only.
A Thunderball number generator only has to get two things right: five main numbers from 1 to 39 and one Thunderball from 1 to 14. This one does both in a single tap, for one line or twenty. It’s free, it runs in your browser, and the Thunderball is shown in green so it’s easy to copy onto a playslip.
Thunderball number generator: odds per line
Match all five plus the Thunderball for the top prize. With 575,757 sets of main numbers and 14 Thunderballs, that’s 1 in 8,060,598, the shortest top-prize odds of the UK draws.
The prize ladder goes a long way down. The Thunderball on its own wins a small prize, so a lot of lines get something back. That’s the appeal of Thunderball: a fixed top prize instead of a huge rolling jackpot, and better odds to go with it.
Picking numbers people don’t
Because Thunderball’s top prize is fixed, sharing it with other winners doesn’t cut it the way a shared jackpot would. So here the “avoid birthdays” option matters less than in Lotto or EuroMillions. The randomness still helps in one way: people who pick their own numbers tend to play the same ones every week and over-use 7, 11 and anything under 31. A random line simply doesn’t.
Want a favourite number on every line? Put it in “Always include” and the rest stays random.
The numbers come from your browser’s built-in secure random generator, the same kind used for encryption. Every combination is exactly as likely as every other, so a generated line is no better or worse than one you choose yourself. What it does do is stop you picking the same birthdays as thousands of other players.
Playing more than one game? The lottery number generator covers eleven lotteries on one page, and the lottery odds calculator works out the chance of every prize tier.
Better odds than most draws, still a long shot. Keep it to pocket money. BeGambleAware.org is free and confidential if it stops being fun.
