Your lines

Numbers come from your browser's secure random generator, so every combination is equally likely. Nothing here can make a line more likely to win. Your earlier picks are kept in this browser only.

Three different lotteries share the Powerball name, and this Powerball number generator handles all of them. Pick South Africa, Australia or the UK at the top and you’ll get lines in that game’s own format, with the Powerball shown in green. It’s free and makes up to 20 lines at a time.

Powerball number generator: three games, three formats

Game How you play Jackpot odds per line
PowerBall (South Africa) 5 from 50 + 1 PowerBall from 16 1 in 33,900,160
Powerball (Australia) 7 from 35 + 1 Powerball from 20 1 in 134,490,400
Powerball (UK) 5 from 69 + 1 Powerball from 26 1 in 292,201,338

South Africa’s game changed in June 2026, when the PowerBall pool shrank from 20 to 16. That made the jackpot noticeably easier: it used to be 1 in 42,375,200. Australia’s version is the odd one out, with seven main numbers from a small pool of 35. The UK game launched in July 2026 and uses the same 5-from-69 and 1-from-26 matrix as the big American draw.

Why the Powerball matters so much

In every version the jackpot needs the Powerball as well as all the main numbers, and that single extra ball multiplies the odds by 16, 20 or 26. The main numbers on their own are far more achievable: five from 50 in South Africa is 1 in 2,118,760.

The lower prize tiers in all three games include lines that match the Powerball plus only a few main numbers, so it’s worth checking a ticket even when the main numbers look poor.

To keep a favourite number on every line, put it in “Always include” under Your own rules. The Powerball itself is always random.

The numbers come from your browser’s built-in secure random generator, the same kind used for encryption. Every combination is exactly as likely as every other, so a generated line is no better or worse than one you choose yourself. What it does do is stop you picking the same birthdays as thousands of other players.
