About you
Your lucky numbers
The same name and birthday always give the same numbers. It's for fun: no number is luckier than another in a fair draw.
The lucky numbers generator turns your name and date of birth into a set of lucky numbers that stays the same every time you come back. Enter them, choose how many numbers and the range, and you’ve got your own personal line. It’s free, and it also works out your life path number, the best-known number in numerology.
Let’s be clear about one thing: in a fair draw no number is luckier than another. These numbers are for fun, and they have exactly the same chance as any other set.
How your lucky numbers are made
Your name and birthday are turned into a long code, and that code decides the numbers. Change one letter and you get a completely different set. Type the same details again next week and the numbers match. Want something different each time instead? Press “Just random ones”.
Set the range to fit your game: 1 to 59 for UK Lotto, 1 to 47 for Irish Lotto or Oz Lotto, 1 to 49 for Lotto 6/49.
Life path number
Numerology takes your date of birth and adds the digits until one digit is left. Born on 14 July 1990? The year 1+9+9+0 = 19, then 1+9 = 10, then 1. The month is 7. The day is 1+4 = 5. Then 1 + 7 + 5 = 13, and 1 + 3 = 4. Life path 4.
The numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept as they are, as “master numbers”. The name number works the same way, with A = 1, B = 2 and so on up to I = 9, then J starts again at 1.
Do lucky numbers help in the lottery?
They don’t change your chance of winning, but your choice can change how much you’d win. Many people play birthdays, so numbers 1 to 31 are picked more often than 32 and above. If those numbers come up, more winners share the prize. A line of personal numbers from 1 to 31 is just as likely to win, but more likely to be shared.
