Sorted by points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head points between the tied teams.
Fixtures
Type scores as games are played and the table updates. Everything is saved in this browser.
A fixture generator for a five-a-side league, a pub pool league or a kids’ football season. Type the teams, pick the first matchday and how many days apart the rounds are, and you get the whole season: every team at home and away to every other, with a date on each matchday. Six teams gives 10 matchdays and 30 games. Then the free part people usually pay for: type the scores as they come in and the league table builds itself next to it.
How the fixture generator builds a season
It uses the circle method. Fix one team, rotate the others one place each round, and every pair meets once with nobody playing twice on the same day. The second half of the season is the first half again with home and away swapped, the way most leagues run.
| Teams | Matchdays (home and away) | Games |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 6 | 12 |
| 6 | 10 | 30 |
| 8 | 14 | 56 |
| 10 | 18 | 90 |
| 12 | 22 | 132 |
| 20 | 38 | 380 |
With an odd number of teams, one team rests each matchday and it’s listed as a bye. Seven teams play 14 matchdays and each sits out twice.
Home games alternate as evenly as the maths allows. Over a full home-and-away season every team gets exactly the same number of home games.
Scores and the league table
Every match has two score boxes. Fill them in as games are played and the table on the right sorts itself: points first, then goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head. Three points for a win and one for a draw is the default. Change it for leagues that do it differently, like 2 points for a win in some youth leagues.
Everything is saved in your browser, so you can come back each week. Copy fixtures gives you a plain-text list to paste into a WhatsApp group or an email. Print gives a clean copy for the clubhouse wall.
Fixture generator or round robin?
For a one-day tournament where everyone plays everyone once, on a few pitches at the same time, use the round robin generator. Already have results and just need the table? The league table generator takes them as plain text. And for a knockout cup, there’s the bracket generator.
