What's on the wheel

Maths checked by Josh Miller · updated Nov 2026How we calculate →

A truth or dare wheel takes the arguing out of the game. Spin it, and it lands on Truth, Dare, Your choice or Pass. There’s a Pass on there for anyone who’s had enough. Edit the slices to change the mix, add a name per player to choose who goes next, or tick “remove the winner” so everyone gets a turn before anyone goes twice. It’s free and works on any phone.

Changing the truth or dare wheel

The wheel starts with three Truths, three Dares, one Your choice and one Pass, so each spin has a 37.5% chance of Truth, 37.5% of Dare, 12.5% your choice and 12.5% a pass. Want more dares? Add another Dare slice and it goes up to 44%. Each slice is the same size, so the odds are just slices divided by total.

Put the questions on the wheel instead and it becomes a question picker: each spin picks one.

Truths to get started

  • What’s the most embarrassing thing on your phone right now?
  • Who in this room would you swap lives with for a day?
  • What’s the worst present you’ve ever pretended to like?
  • What’s the last lie you told?
  • Which film made you cry the most?
  • What’s a food everyone loves that you secretly hate?

Dares to get started

  • Do your best impression of someone in the room until they guess who it is.
  • Let the group send one emoji from your phone to a contact of their choice.
  • Talk in an accent until your next turn.
  • Do ten star jumps while singing the national anthem.
  • Show the last photo in your camera roll.
  • Let the person on your left post a status from your account (they choose, you approve).

Keep it fun: anyone can say Pass, and a dare that’s dangerous or makes someone uncomfortable isn’t a dare, it’s a bad idea.

Frequently asked questions

How does the truth or dare wheel work?

Can I change what's on the wheel?

Yes. Edit the list of slices: add more Dares, your own questions, or a player's name per slice.
