What's on the wheel
Winners so far
The yes or no wheel gives you a straight answer in one spin. Two slices, Yes and No, so each one has exactly a 50% chance. It’s free, it works on your phone, and it’s quicker than flipping a coin you can’t find.
Should you text them back? Order the takeaway? Go to the gym tonight? Spin it and see how the answer makes you feel. If you’re disappointed when it says No, you probably wanted Yes all along.
Change the odds on the yes or no wheel
The wheel reads the list on the right, one option per line. Edit it to suit:
- Yes, No, Maybe: three slices, 33.3% each.
- Yes, Yes, No: Yes twice makes it a 66.7% chance, for when you’d quite like a push in one direction.
- Yes, No, Ask again: for when you’re not ready to hear it yet.
Spin as often as you like. Each spin is independent, so three Nos in a row doesn’t make a Yes “due”. Three Nos in a row still happens 12.5% of the time.
How the wheel picks
The answer is decided before the wheel starts turning, using your browser’s secure random generator, and the spin then lands on it. How hard you tap doesn’t matter. Nothing you type leaves your device.
Need more than two options? The full spin the wheel takes up to 100 entries and can remove winners as you go. For a plain heads or tails, there’s the coin flip.
For a random number rather than yes or no, the number wheel spins any range you set.
For party games there’s a truth or dare wheel too.
