In one draw, the chance that all your numbers are among the winners is C(drawn, pick) ÷ C(pool, pick). Lotto draws 6 from 59. EuroMillions HotPicks uses the 5 main numbers from 50. Since the 2026 Lotto change, a Lotto HotPicks line has two chances, so the odds per line are 1 − (1 − p)².
Which Pick is best?
Lower Picks win more often and pay less. Higher Picks pay more and win rarely. There’s no “best” in pure odds terms. Prizes are fixed, so check each one against the odds above. A prize that’s worth far less than the odds suggest is poor value.
What doesn’t matter: which numbers you pick. A HotPicks line of 1, 2 and 3 has exactly the same chance as any other three numbers.
