This Mega Millions number generator gives you random lines in the current format: five white numbers from 1 to 70 and a Mega Ball from 1 to 24. Ask for one line or twenty, copy them, print them, or switch to US Powerball on the same page. It’s free and the numbers come from your browser’s secure random generator, the same kind used for encryption.

Mega Millions number generator: the format

Mega Millions changed in April 2025. The Mega Ball range dropped from 25 to 24, the ticket went to $5, and a multiplier is now built into every ticket. One line has a 1 in 290,472,336 chance of the jackpot and about 1 in 23 of winning something.

Powerball uses five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball from 1 to 26, at $2 a line, with jackpot odds of 1 in 292,201,338.

Random numbers vs your own

A generated line is no more likely to win than one you pick. What it does is avoid the patterns thousands of other players use: birthdays (so lots of numbers under 31), straight lines across the slip, or last week’s winning numbers. If you do win, you’re less likely to share the jackpot. Small edge, but it’s the only one there is.

The “always include” box lets you keep a favourite number in every line if you can’t let it go. For the odds of every prize, try the Mega Millions and Powerball odds calculator, and for a lifetime of draws in seconds, the Powerball simulator.
