The Millionaire Raffle odds calculator works out your real chance in the National Lottery’s Christmas raffle in Ireland. At most 600,000 tickets are sold at €25, so a sell-out puts one ticket’s chance of the €1 million at 1 in 600,000. That’s about 18 times better than the Irish Lotto jackpot. With 8,500 prizes in all, about one ticket in 71 wins something. This free calculator lets you change how many tickets are sold and how many you buy.
Millionaire Raffle prizes

Each ticket can win only one prize. The prizes add up to €6,342,500.
Why a raffle beats a lotto
A raffle has a fixed number of tickets and a fixed list of prizes. There’s no rollover and no chance the top prize goes unwon. If fewer tickets sell, your odds get better, because the prizes stay the same. At 500,000 tickets sold, the €1 million chance rises to 1 in 500,000.
The return is another matter. At a sell-out, the prizes are worth €10.57 per €25 ticket, so 42% comes back on average. That’s in line with most lotteries, and well under a bet at the bookies or a slot. Five tickets for €125 give you about a 7% chance of a prize, most likely €500.
